- The Women of Withamsville are fully devoted to growing in Christ and sharing our faith through fellowship, Bible study, and service.
- Our activities such as Ladies' Day, Baby and Wedding Showers, and Special Events provide great opportunities for fellowship.
- Our Ladies' Bible Classes provide opportunities for spiritual growth and bonding through Bible study and prayer.
Book Club - We love to read and meet on the second Tuesday of the month for fellowship and discussions.
Encouragers Group - We find ways to uplift our congregation and those needing extra encouragement (i.e. cards, etc.)
Event Planners - Every year is different, but we are always looking for ways to bring our women together (annual spring breakfast, devos, retreats)
Garden Club - Do you enjoy gardening or would you like to learn more about plants? In the garden club, we enjoy fellowshipping with other members and sharing garden tips. Some of our past service projects have involved planting flowers and shrubs and maintaining the church beds, planting flowers for some of our shut in members of the congregation, and we provided a lovely gardening basket for the Fort Hill gold outing silent auction.
GWinGs -WinGs stands for "Women in God's Service" to Mid-Western Children's Home. Mid-Western Children's Home provides out of home placement services to area children in need. Our goal is to find ways we can help the resident children, houseparents and staff at Mid-Western. Some of the programs we have implemented are: Birthday Baskets for the children, Special Holiday gifts for the Houseparents, Ink Recycling Program to help offset some of MW's Office supply needs, Holiday Parties for the children, Service Projects and Occasional Fundraising Projects. We are always on the lookout for new ideas and would welcome new members who are interested in this great work. Please see Pam Eichhold to find out more about WinGs and how you can help!
Kitchen Keepers - We make sure our kitchen is clean and operational.
Mid-Western Auxiliary - Our group meets the first Monday of the month and works on fund-raisers and other means of support for the children's home and it's staff.
Sewing Circle - We have worked on many projects...baby quilts, bibs, BDC costumes...quilts are a favorite. We meet the second Thursday of the month, 6pm-8pm, in the Fellowship Hall.
Sisters in Song - We love to make music together and serenade us and other groups when we have the opportunity.
Shower Ministry - Our committee was formed to make sure all of our Brides to Be and Mothers to Be are honored with showers, as they approach their special days. These events are usually in the form of a Potluck lunch after our 2nd service. This is also a great opportunity to fellowship with the ladies of our congregation. If you are interested in helping plan, decorate and host some of these fun events, please see Pam Eichhol.
